Every year, Region Stockholm produces analyzes of how the labor market looks in Stockholm County. The analysis from 2023 is valid until 2035. The information has been developed by Region Stockholm by looking at the needs of different industries and how many people will have completed various educations.

Their analysis from 2023 shows that many more people with vocational training are needed for various industries in the Stockholm region over the next ten years.

• Professions in healthcare 
  Health and social care needs a lot of staff in the future, mainly staff working with elderly care. Health care also needs more staff, such as specialist nurses.
• Professions in contruction
  The construction industry needs staff who have trained in the construction program in high school.
• Professions in restaurants 
  Trained restaurant staff such as chefs will be needed in the coming years.
• Professions in transport
  Personnel are needed for the transport industry, for example people who have studied the vehicle and transport program at high school.
• Professions in IT
  IT is an area that develops rapidly and where more staff are needed, both people with university and higher vocational education.
• Professions in technology and industry
  Many jobs are aiblable for those who study the Industrial Technology program in high school.
